According to the weather bulletin of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the storm signal was raised in Catanduanes and Sorsogon in Northern Philippines and Northern and Eastern Samar in Central Philippines due to tropical storm Songda (local name: Chedeng).
Songda is moving at a speed of 17 kilometers per hour and is forecast to move west-northwestward. PAGASA said the affected provinces should expect rains and gusty winds and warned residents living in low-lying and mountainous areas against possible flash floods and landslides.
