FY 2011 IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)/Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Site List

The Tax Filing Deadline is April 18, 2011. The following FY 2011 VITA/TCE Sites will provide FREE tax preparation and FREE electronic filing for low to moderate-income; elderly; limited English proficiency, and disabled workers and families who had less than $49,000 in income in 2010.

The list shows the VITA/TCE sites’ days and hours of operation. Unless otherwise stated, all VITA/TCE sites are open to the general public. Walk-ins will be welcome. Be aware that the TCE sites will provide priority assistance to taxpayers 60 and older. However, everyone who visits a TCE site will be helped. Taxpayers should bring the following to a VITA or a TCE site:

· Social security card

· Social security cards for spouse and/or all dependents

· Picture ID

· All Forms W-2, 1099, and 1098

· All tax documents that show charitable contributions

· Documents that substantiate medical expenses; real estate taxes/interest and sales taxes

· List of unreimbursed employee expenses

· Records of Social Security, annuity, and/or pension income

Military VITA sites shown on the FY 2011 VITA/TCE Site List will provide FREE tax preparation and FREE electronic filing ONLY for active duty military personnel and their families; base employees; retirees, and Veterans.
